Turtles, Turtles, Turtles Everywhere!
It goes without saying that the number one reason people come on the Discovery is to get up close and personal with the giant green sea turtles that call the Olowalu coastline their home. We see them on the surface, we see them getting their shells cleaned by other fish and we see them looking us right in the eye. People come from as far away as England and Australia just to get some "face time" with the majestic sea turtles.
Nothing is quite as spectacular as swimming alongside these beautiful, prehistoric looking, creatures of friendliness. On a normal day we see a good 8-12 turtles, and on a great day it can be well over 15 of them!
The peaceful and relaxing qualities of the turtles will become immediately apparent to you when you see them in person. They glide with a fluidity matched only by the indigo blue waters themselves. You'll go eye to eye with these unique creatures. They will be checking you out just as much as you are checking them out. Even if you've seen turtles before, we guarantee you have not seen them like this, nor have you been this close.

We don't check in until 7:45am, which means that even if you're driving from as far away as Wailea, Makena or Kapalua, you'll still have plenty of time to get up, have breakfast and enjoy the relaxing drive with no stress.
